Welcome to the
" Hills and Valley's in the Wayne National Forest"
Hocking County is best known for its "Hocking Hills" containing thick forests, cascading water falls, deep rocky gorges, and amazing rock formations. In the year 2006, approximately 1.5 million people will visit the Hocking Hills State Park. Personally this is one of my favorite spots in the country! And I've even rode a bicycle down the Haleakala volcano at Maui! Click on the word Haleakala to see those photo's. Take a look at the breathtaking photos of the Caves by clicking on the photo of the webmaster and her son's below!

Have
you ever read
"Smoke In The Valley"?
I just met the very interesting author of the above titled story, William Yno, at the Little Cities of Black Diamonds Murray City Chautauqua festival. I had read his book a year earlier. The book confirmed a secret that had been whispered and passed down through generations. With the story being told after more than a hundred years William only hopes the lost souls can finally find their peace." William Yno took the time to write a tale of which most families in the area today know but would like to keep secret forever. It is a tale of something unspeakable from our ancestors past. Contact William for details on obtaining this story, a must read for the coal mining town descendants!
